What qualifications will you achieve:
  • 2 ½ year Apprenticeship programme
  • Specialist Training programme
  • NVQ Level 3 in Built Environment Design
  • Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment

You can then progress on to a Higher Apprenticeship, HNC or Foundation Degree

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A-C/4-9 including English & Mathematics

Learning outcome:

This role will involve working with the digital lead/information managers, key stakeholders and wider project to facilitate the implementation of digital engineering and construction throughout the business.

The role is to produce detailed solutions to achieve performance of built environment projects via digital models and presentation using software, sketches and electronic visualisations. A supporting role for a Digital Engineer or other functional specialists completing complex tasks such as:

  • Digital measurement of design, production and management assets
  • Digital communication of complex engineering principles to stakeholders digitally
  • Integration of construction data and information throughout the whole lifecycle of the asset
  • Adherence to the standards and regulations of digital information

What is involved?

The skills you will develop:

  • Produce detailed design solutions for the built environment
  • Complete engineering designs, drawings and schedules
  • Communicating design options
  • How to carry out measured surveys
  • How to create BIM models

The knowledge you will gain in:

  • Evaluating and understanding factors affecting design
  • Developing engineering design options and evaluating them
  • Maintaining professional relationships and practice
  • Understanding BIM models and using BIM tools
