This course has a CITB grant rate/tier of £60 which can be successfully claimed on completion of this course.

Who this course is aimed for
No prior BIM experience is required as this course is suitable for both early-career professionals and those looking to gain a basic understanding of BIM principle and practices.
What You Need To Know
In order to fully benefit from this course you will;
- Need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and be PC literate.
- You don’t need any prior experience – this is designed for new users of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will have gained a solid, introductory understanding of BIM and you will be able to-
- Explain the basic principles and definition of BIM within the context of the built environment.
- Explain the UK BIM maturity levels and explore the definition of each.
- Produce basic BIM information for a building project and create information exchanges.
- Describe the relevance of the UK standards to be used and reviewed when working on a BIM project.
- Describe the basic terminology in relation to BIM, including level of detail and information to be embedded and used on a BIM Project.

We provide all the course materials and digital resources required to complete the CITB Building Information Modelling Introduction course. You’ll be taught by one of our experienced tutors with industry knowledge in BIM and digital construction. As this course is delivered remotely, you will need to provide the following:
