Amazing News for Pierce

22 July 2025

We recently asked one of our former apprentices, who recently completed their level 5 Operations Manager apprenticeship – with an amazing Distinction – to offer us a little bit of feedback about their programme with T3.

Pierce Carrington, who works for MobCAD in Pontefract took the time out of his busy schedule to offer the following feedback about their programme;-

The Course

I have found the course incredibly insightful. Learning different theories and knowing there are even more to explore has broadened my knowledge and understanding of how I can manage myself and others in the workplace. I feel much more equipped to manage my own time and delegate to others, as well as managing projects to a higher standard and with more chance of success.

The resources provided throughout were clear and equipped me well to produce evidence as well as pointing me in various locations to conduct my own research to support my learning. The structure of the course always felt intuitive, with each are of learning informing the next such as emotional intelligence leading into managing others.

Personally, I would have liked to have understood the mapping matrix from the very beginning of the course, as the structure would have helped inform my learning and I could have filled it in as I went rather than having to retroactively map the evidence from months prior. I understand this may be overwhelming at the start of the course, but I always find the more I know, the better I operate.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the training I have received. I look forward to applying the knowledge gained in my future career.

End Point Assessment (EPA)

The gateway and EPA stage of the process was probably my favourite part of the course. Being set free on a project with all the knowledge I had gained and applying it to a real-life application was both informative and rewarding. I believe I created a robust project that will benefit my business. The IEPA was clear in their instructions during the presentation and professional discussion, guiding me to give clear answers that met the needed criteria.

My Tutor – Stephanie

Stephanie’s guidance throughout the course has been outstanding. Her ability to concisely deliver critical information, while leaving area open for my own research, shaped a great learning environment, where I felt well informed, but also encouraged to explore subject matter in my own way. Our meetings were always professional, yet a measure of informality made the course enjoyable throughout. Stephanie’s ability to recognise when I needed a stern push or a softer approach kept me on the right path, even when struggling with keeping up to date with OTJ’s (off-the-job)!

I can’t thank Stephanie enough for recognising when I was reaching a breaking point while juggling a very busy workload as well as a very stressful house move. Recommending a break in learning allowed me to get back on track with my personal and professional responsibilities and motivated me to come back even stronger and ready to enter gateway and EPA confidently.

We’d like to thank Pierce for passing on this valuable feedback which offers an insight into his course.  We’re looking forward to see what the future holds for him!
