Advancing Digital Skills: Drone Surveying Bootcamp Success
1 April 2026
A major milestone was recently celebrated as participants from Cohort One and Cohort Two of the Drone Surveying and Digital Skills Bootcamp came together to complete their training. Delivered in partnership with Iprosurv, RNN Group, and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), the programme brought together a diverse group of professionals united by a shared ambition to embrace the future of digital surveying.
Over the course of six weeks, learners from sectors including surveying, architecture, roofing, solar installation, and specialist access developed valuable skills in drone technology and digital workflows. The programme focused on more than just drone operation, guiding participants through a complete end-to-end process, from data capture to processing and integration within industry tools such as CAD, BIM, and Revit.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the bootcamp combined online learning with hands-on flight training, allowing learners to build both knowledge and practical experience that can be applied immediately in the workplace.
T3 Training & Development were proud to support the final stage of the programme, delivering training in AutoCAD Essentials and Revit to further enhance participants’ digital capabilities and industry readiness.
On completion, learners achieved recognised qualifications, including the A2 Certificate of Competency, with clear progression routes towards the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC).
Supported by SYMCA funding, this programme highlights the power of collaboration in addressing skills gaps and preparing the workforce for a more digital, data-driven construction industry.
