DPL Fabrications Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Tekla Draughtsman to join our Design Office and develop a career within structural steel detailing. You will receive full training in Tekla Structures while gaining hands-on experience producing 3D models and fabrication drawings for live projects.
Wage
£16,224 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

What you’ll do at work
- Learn to produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
- Assist in the preparation of fabrication, assembly and general arrangement drawings.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings under the guidance of senior designers.
- Produce material schedules, NC data and drawing packages for manufacture.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers and the fabrication workshop to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Incorporate design revisions and maintain drawing records throughout project lifecycles.
- Develop an understanding of structural steel detailing, fabrication processes and industry standards.
- Support the Design Office with general engineering and drawing-related tasks.
