2 December 2025
The RNN Group, in partnership with T3 Training & Development and Iprosurv, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Recognised Assessment Entity, has announced an exciting new Skills Bootcamp in Integrated Drone Surveying and Digital Construction Technologies, launching across South Yorkshire in January 2026.
Backed by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), the programme will equip professionals with the latest technical skills to meet the growing demand for digital construction and data-led project delivery. Learners will gain practical experience in drone surveying, photogrammetry, 3D modelling, BIM workflows and Autodesk Revit – all essential for the region’s evolving infrastructure and construction sectors.
Open to anyone who’s looking to start into this sector, or for those looking to upskill in their business this could be surveyors. Leaners will receive a range of industry-recognised qualifications, including the CAA A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC), CAA General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC), and NOCN Level 3 Awards in both Digital Construction Technology and Revit Essentials.
Lee Drummond Commercial Director, from T3 Training & Development, said:
“We’re excited to be working with RNN Group and Iprosurv on this innovative programme. Together, we’re helping to develop the next generation of construction professionals who can combine technical skill with digital insight to deliver projects more effectively and sustainably.”
Daniel Stanbra, Vice Principal Adult Education, Commercial and Partnership Strategy for RNN Group, said:
“RNN Group is delighted to be supporting the development of these innovative Skills Bootcamps that strengthen local economies and open pathways into technical careers, ensuring that our local communities have access to the latest training and educational opportunities.”
Rebecca Jones, CEO of Iprosurv and CAA Recognised Assessment Entity, said:
“We’re excited to work with RNN Group and T3 Training & Development to bring cutting-edge drone and digital construction skills to South Yorkshire. This Bootcamp balances the essential theory of regulation, airspace and operational planning with safe, practical flying and real-world data capture, so learners leave not just with CAA approvals, but with a strong grasp of the complexities of professional drone operations and the confidence to collect, process and use drone data that genuinely adds value to BIM and digital construction projects.”
The Bootcamp is open to both new entrants and experienced workers seeking to advance their careers in construction, surveying, or engineering.
