CAD Technician, Reinforcement Engineer, Architectural Technician, Design Assistant, Structural Engineering Technician, BIM Technician, Draughtsperson or M&E Technician.
The units are suitable for structural, electrical, control and instrumentati on, mechanical and piping Design and Draughtspersons.
The apprentice will be trained in aspects of disciplines such as principles of design, identify and analyse design options and selecting the appropriate design, types of drawings and specifications, characteristics of materials, producing drawings using appropriate computer aided design packages such as AutoCAD, Revit and or Tekla and abbreviations and symbols used in design and draughting.
QUALIFICATION & TRAINING
- 2 Year Apprenticeship Programme
- NVQ Level 3 diploma in Design and Draughting – delivered in the workplace
- Level 3 BTEC in Construction and the Built Environment – Day Release or Remote Delivery
- Up to 6 week of intense specialist training in the following:
- Draughting & Detailing
- Basic Design Principles
- Tekla Structures
- Auto Desk Revit
- Roles & Responsibilities
